Plus Size Me

florI have learned a lot in my almost 35 years. One of the most important things that I have learned is that how we see ourselves is way more important than how others see us. I have been fortunate to know that no matter the size of my clothes, I am beautiful. I am strong. I am everything that I always hoped to be and more. I am important. I am smart. I am effective in everything that I do. This picture was taken several years ago, while I was in Florida. Beautiful place, and hard to not be beautiful too in such scenery. I had the whole world in front of me. I knew it. And even though I have lost 60 some pounds since this picture, I am still beautiful. In that timeless, classic way that women strive their whole lives to be. And I am that, right now. Maybe I have always been. Hopefully, I will always be. Please ladies and gentlemen, love yourselves, love yourselves totally, inside and out. And if you can’t do that, then change yourself so that you can. Its not about others outside of you and how they see you. Its how you see you. Remember, we are not the sum total of our parts, more the sum total of our parts plus the sunshine from within.
