Rules, Laws, and Reasons

I feel as if my head might explode. I repeat over and over again in my head and out loud, “It is FTC rule that you disclose that you received a product for free to review.” It is a rule people. Not just my ideal of how things should be, but a flipping rule. You can not honestly believe that your product or company is so special as to be exempt from the rules and the laws. If you send me a product for free to review, I have to disclose that, on here, on Amazon, on Wal-mart. WHERE EVER I post the review. I am not now or ever going to mislead people or break a law. I review products that I buy too. I don’t disclose anything about those because I bought them! If I have a coupon or buy them on sale, then I do disclose that, mainly because I just love a good deal ๐Ÿ™‚ Please don’ ask me to break the rules or laws and then threaten me should I choose not to follow your poor lead. I am not into calling out names, but lets not make this too ugly either ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Yeah, I’ve had (so far…) some companies ask me to not put that I received it to review on/in my reviews. It’s plainly written in sooooooo many online accounts that you MUST put that you received the product to review. I just told them outright that I couldn’t do that, that it was in the rules that I HAD to put it in order to write a review on their websites…

    • I have had several ask me too, but this is the first one that has threatened me! The message that they sent me stated, “It is easy to change an amazon review, log in and change it. Do it or I will reject your review.” Well, first off that site doesn’t have anything to do with amazon, so how can you reject my review for that site? and second off, I don’t respond well to threats. It is crazy, I love doing reviews, love love love it, but seriously there has to be a line somewhere.
